Viviana is a visual storyteller born and raised in Mexico. During her childhood her family was nomadic. Being a migrant living in the United States along with these transitions in her personal history, aroused curiosity about the biological and cyclical processes that occur in nature and on the landscape. The fictional and visual stories she builds reflect on issues of uprooting, memory, and grief. She is fascinated by nature, its processes, and its history. Metaphorically tries to answer the complex relationship we have with our environment.

Her work is based at the intersection of installation, photography, and publication.
